- deal with the authorities online from the comfort of your own home,
- identify themselves when shopping online or
- to sign digital documents in a legally binding manner using a qualified electronic signature(eSign) in accordance with the Signature Act. A manual signature is no longer required here.

Of course, the highest level of security is ensured for all processes. This is because only data that you release with your card reader by entering your PIN is read out.
