ESET and REINER SCT cooperate for more security in online banking

IT security manufacturers offer attractively priced product bundles for partners and customersJena, April 10, 2024 – The European IT security manufacturer ESET and REINER SCT are joining forces. REINER SCT, based in the Black Forest, specializes in hardware security solutions such as smart card readers, 2FA hardware and TAN generators. The aim of the partnership is to increase protection for end customers in everyday digital life and especially in online banking. To this end, ESET and REINER SCT are combining their expertise and are now offering two product packages consisting of ESET HOME Security Premium and hardware authenticators and TAN generators from REINER SCT. The bundles are sold via the joint distribution partner ALSO and are available immediately. “REINER SCT is the market leader in TAN generators. Cooperation with a partner in the hardware sector is therefore a logical step. From a technical point of view, the software solutions from ESET and the hardware from REINER SCT complement each other and thus offer customers and partners significantly more protection. Together, ESET and REINER SCT are offering partners and customers two attractive product bundles:

  • The Banking package contains the tan TAN generator, which has been tried and tested millions of times. Jack® photo QR from REINER SCT and ESET HOME Security Premium.
    With the tan Jack® photo QR is a TAN generator that is used for secure online banking transactions.
    ESET HOME Security Premium offers users multi-layered protection against cyber threats, e.g. thanks to anti-phishing. In addition, financial transactions are encrypted and insecure search results are flagged as such for users. Price (gross): RRP 79.90 euros.
  • The Authenticator package offers ESET HOME Security Premium and the new REINER SCT Authenticator mini, a 2FA hardware with TOTP that can secure over 100 online accounts. In combination, the two solutions protect end users’ devices against account takeovers and data loss. Price (gross): RRP 112.50 euros.

Further bundles planned. The two packages for private users are just the beginning of a successful collaboration between REINER SCT and ESET.
