Secure and record-breakingly fast online banking with the new tan TAN generator Jack ® photo QR – one device for two procedures

Furtwangen, April 04, 2019 – Two methods – one reader: With the new TAN generator tan Jack ® photo QR from REINER SCT, secure online banking is now even faster and more convenient.
It can be used with PCs, tablets and smartphones, runs on all operating systems and works with both the chipTAN QR procedure of the savings banks and the Sm@rt-TAN photo procedure of the Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken.
The savings banks and cooperative banks rely on the secure chipTAN QR or Sm@rt-TAN photo procedure for online banking.
REINER SCT has now developed a new TAN generator that works with both procedures.
Both procedures – chipTAN QR and Sm@rt-TAN photo – comply with the current security recommendations of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
The advantage of the new REINER SCT solution is that customers who have accounts with both banks only need one TAN generator.
The device recognizes the respective code automatically – no key operation is necessary.

Scan, release – done

Customers simply insert their bank card into the TAN generator and hold it approx. 10 cm (Sm@rt-TAN photo procedure) or 50 cm (chipTAN QR procedure) in front of their PC, tablet or smartphone.
The camera integrated in the TAN generator reads the color matrix code or QR code displayed there.
The code scan starts automatically.
It takes less than a second to read and display the transaction data.
This means that customers can use the tan Jack ® photo QR, customers can now make their transfers quickly and very conveniently.
Finally, customers only need to check the order data shown on the TAN generator display and approve it in online banking using the TAN received.

Durable and excellent design

The color display of the new TAN generator is non-reflective and has a backlight. This makes the display very easy to read. The buttons are optimally positioned for ergonomic operation and the font on the display is extra large.
The camera on the back is set so deep that the lens cannot be scratched.
The casing is matt and non-slip. The device works with three standard AAA batteries. Thanks to the very energy-saving electronics, a set of batteries lasts up to five years.
The tan Jack ® photo QR has received the German Design Award 2019 and “Very good” awards in PC Magazin and PC go.
The tan Jack ® photo QR is now available from all savings banks, cooperative banks, retailers and all popular online stores or directly from the manufacturer REINER SCT.
