Furtwangen, February 17, 2011 – Time recording solutions are available in many variants based on completely different concepts. But which are the most popular? According to study results from Furtwangen University and REINER SCT, German SMEs prefer RFID tokens as a registration medium, for example in the form of key fobs, closely followed by PINs and chip cards.
In contrast, only twelve percent of those surveyed would use biometric procedures, including fingerprints and retina recognition, for example.
When it comes to the system itself, over a third favor time recording via a workplace PC.
More than a quarter consider online-capable solutions that are directly integrated into the company network to be particularly interesting.
Terminals without a direct Internet connection, on the other hand, hardly play a role.

Information on the study

650 companies from various sectors were surveyed on the subject of time recording.
Only five percent of the medium-sized companies surveyed had more than 500 employees.
The study was conducted between May 5, 2010 and June 10, 2010 by Furtwangen University on behalf of REINER SCT.
