Furtwangen, April 28, 2005 – “All you need for this is a signature card, the corresponding software and a chip card reader,” says Carsten Sommer, Managing Director of REINER SCT, the market-leading company for chip card readers from Furtwangen.
The latest project: “In a joint project with the companies DE-CODA and D-TRUST, we have just delivered the appropriate readers for the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce,” says a delighted Carsten Sommer.
Members of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce – like members of around 60 other chambers of industry and commerce – can use interesting e-government services thanks to the IHK signature equipment: These include, for example, the online processing of public tenders and the input tax deductible electronic invoice, but also the electronic application for certificates of origin at the IHK.
Legislation stipulates that a qualified electronic signature, which is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature, must always be applied for in person at an authorized registration office.
“We opted for the card readers from REINER SCT because they work most stably with our components,” says DE-CODA authorized signatory Annette Floren.
Coordinated by DE-CODA GmbH, the chambers have been involved as registration offices for the electronic signature since spring 2001.
The starter packages are available from the chambers that have joined this project so far.
The starter package with card reader, signature software and signature card as well as meaningful information about the electronic signature is available from € 177. (The text comprises approx. 2,000 characters)
