Furtwangen, May 19, 2010 – Due to security concerns, 28 percent of Internet users do not want to conduct their banking transactions online.
This is the result of a recent BITKOM survey (German Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media).
Banks and savings banks can win over these customers and dispel their concerns by providing information about secure methods such as HBCI or Secoder.
The electronic TAN procedure, in which a TAN is generated electronically using a device, also offers security.
It is even more convenient if optical TAN generators are used, as manual entry is largely eliminated.
The generator recognizes the transaction data via an optical interface and generates a TAN.
The procedure was standardized in the Central Credit Committee (ZKA) and implemented with significant support from REINER SCT.
The specialists for secure online banking have also developed the appropriate TAN generators: From mid-June, tan Jack® optic SX, the fourth model in the tan Jack® optic product range will be launched on the market.
Carsten Sommer, Managing Director of REINER SCT: “This is our smallest TAN generator. The device has only four buttons and a large display. This makes it not only secure, but also particularly easy to use.”
A plus point for banks: the generators can be supplied in the bank’s own color and with a printed logo. (The text comprises approx. 1,700 characters)
