Spying activities by American secret services, an allegedly insecure electronic ID card, fear of fraud in online banking, a lack of data protection in companies – the media coverage of recent weeks has made one thing abundantly clear: anyone who uses electronic communication and does business online must protect their data well.
At the “it-sa” trade fair, REINER SCT will be demonstrating how users can do this easily, comprehensibly and conveniently.
“Our latest developments take account of the trend towards increased mobility in society. They are easy to install and take with you and secure transactions via tablet, smartphone, etc.,” says Andreas Staiger, Managing Director of REINER SCT.

cgToken

The “cgToken”, developed as part of the technology partnership with certgate, will be presented for the first time.
The small device, the size of a key fob, secures companies’ critical infrastructures in combination with a mobile device and can be used as a platform-independent secure element.
It is designed for all smartphones or tablet PCs that do not have an NFC interface or SD card slot.
The token provides both, connects to the mobile device via Bluetooth and thus enables contactless access control or mobile payment processes, for example.

Mobile chip card reader

REINER SCT will also be showcasing its new “cyber Jack go” and “cyber Jack wave” smart card readers in Nuremberg, which are also suitable for mobile transactions via tablet and smartphone.
Since CeBIT in spring, the company has developed additional apps for the handy “cyber Jack wave” Bluetooth reader that make secure data transfer even easier, e.g. for online banking.
Further developments have also been made to the “cyber Jack go – the software manufacturers Buhl Data (WISO – Mein Geld) and StarFinanz (StarMoney mobile 9.0) have now also adapted their programs to the innovative possibilities of the cyber Jack go.
At its stand, REINER SCT will be explaining how easy online banking has become with the handy reader for your shirt pocket.

More apps for cloud cockpit®

The new smartphone apps for Android and iOS for the “cloud Cockpit” software are also ready in time for “it-sa”.
With “Cloud Cockpit , private individuals and business people can store their data securely encrypted in the cloud.
Thanks to the new apps, this is now also possible on mobile devices.
Leading German computer magazines tested the software over the course of the year and gave it very high marks.
