Furtwangen, 10 October 2011 – The Federal Ministry of the Interior has once again increased the subsidies for standard and comfort readers, subsidizing them by 25 euros each.
Buyers can now save a total of up to 40 euros per device.

This is an important contribution to enabling end consumers to conduct secure online transactions with banks, insurance companies or web stores, secure communication in social networks and secure online transactions with public authorities. The combination of chip card and reader is more reliable than the conventional authentication procedure with user ID and password or PIN and TAN.”
The readers can be ordered via the website www.chipkartenleser-shop.de/shop/npa or via web stores and resellers such as Amazon or Conrad Electronic – but only while stocks last.
For this reason, the Furtwangen-based security expert REINER SCT, which develops and produces in Germany, has increased its production capacity. The devices can be delivered from stock again with immediate effect. REINER SCT was awarded the contract for the provision of 100,000 discounted readers in the BMI’s first tender last year.
Right from the start, the demand for the secure card readers was enormous.
As REINER SCT is currently the only company to supply both types of device – the standard reader “$ {cyberJack} RFID standard” as well as the comfort reader “${cyberJack} RFID comfort” – the first contingent is now as good as used up. (Length: approx. 1,600 characters)
About the standard and comfort readers
The readers are suitable for secure online transactions with the new ID card.
They are also approved for home banking via the HBCI standard (Home Banking Computer Interface) and Secoder (secure universal chip card reader) as recommended by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
Standard and comfort readers are therefore particularly secure, as the PIN is entered tap-proof via the keypad and the communication is securely shown on the display.
