Furtwangen, November 28, 2011 – As of January 1, 2012, Andreas Staiger will take over responsibility for market and sales from Carsten Sommer as the new Managing Director at REINER SCT.
Staiger has worked for the Black Forest-based company as Sales Manager for over ten years.
He has also been an authorized signatory since 2009 and is already a member of the management team in this role.
Klaus Bechtold, who has been with REINER SCT since 1999 and Managing Director since 2001, will remain in his position and will continue to be responsible for development, purchasing and production.
A new sales manager, who will take over Staiger’s previous responsibilities, has already been found and will be introduced shortly.
Carsten Sommer co-founded REINER SCT in 1997 and has since been responsible for products and strategy as Managing Director with great success.
In 1999, he also founded Recovax Bioscience GmbH, which he manages as Managing Partner.
Recovax in Freiburg im Breisgau is a small, highly specialized biotechnology company that researches antibodies against infectious agents – both companies are therefore essentially concerned with combating the consequences of infections, either on computers or in humans.
“The strong growth of REINER SCT in recent years and the new market opportunities that have arisen for Recovax unfortunately make it impossible to continue to manage the two independently operating companies simultaneously. That’s why I have to concentrate on just one of the two companies in future,” says Carsten Sommer, explaining his decision.
REINER SCT has secured a good market position in recent years, is established and stable and now has an excellent management team with Bechtold and Staiger; this is why he has now decided in favor of the smaller Recovax.
The new managing directors of REINER SCT have been associated with the Furtwangen-based company for more than a decade, thus ensuring continuity despite the change of position.
