April 22, 2015 – A practical presentation from the banking world, a live demo of an attack on smartphones, information about growing threats on the “Internet as a crime scene” and a panel discussion – this is the program for this year’s REINER SCT Banking Day.
The focus of the event on
April 23 in Brühl will focus on current information and the exchange of ideas.
Tablets and smartphones have become an integral part of online banking.
On the contrary, mobile devices are increasingly being used to make transfers and check account balances.
This attracts cyber criminals who skillfully exploit security loopholes and enrich themselves at the expense of bank customers.
REINER SCT will be explaining what this development means for banks at this year’s Banking Day.
For the first time, the event will not take place during the “CeBIT” trade fair, but separately.
The venue on April 23, 2015 is Phantasialand near Brühl / Rhineland.

Live demo of a smartphone attack

The day will focus on the latest information on online banking security.
Markus Wortmann, criminologist and chairman of the board of “Sicheres Netz hilft e.V.”, will give an exciting presentation on the growing threat on the “Internet crime scene”.
Marko Rogge (Coturn – Analytical Intelligence Group) will present current attack methods and show in a live demo how smartphones are attacked and spied on.

Information from the sewing box

Christian Farrenkopf’s presentation will also be based on practical experience.
The member of Volksbank Franken’s social media team will talk about how his bank found its way to online banking.
The day will be rounded off with a panel discussion on the current security situation and an outlook from Andreas Staiger, Managing Director of REINER SCT, on the company’s next development steps.
