More secure is more secure: the chipTAN USB procedure
There is now an additional option to make online banking even more secure. The method combines the proven chipTAN or sm@artTAN procedure with a USB device.
This is simply connected to your computer.
The savings banks have already agreed to offer their customers the new chipTAN USB procedure. The changeover has already begun and by the end of 2021 at the latest, the German savings banks and possibly other credit institutions will increasingly replace the familiar HBCI procedure with chip card with the chipTAN USB procedure with chip card.
REINER SCT already offers everything you need for secure online banking transactions: with a simple upgrade, you can use different chip card readers for all chip card-based banking procedures at all banks.
A simple prerequisite for using the new procedure is financial software for online banking that supports chipTAN USB. These include, for example, StarMoney, WISO mein Geld, MacGiro and MoneyMoney, and many more.
